Our task was to create the atmosphere of a traditional market hall with clearly defined assortment zones on the EDEKA Horst market's triangular footprint. The ceiling construction is dominated by giant wood trusses in chalked white. As most of the shelving is lower than 1.60 m, the market remains clearly structured in spite of its unconventional layout and allows quick and easy orientation. The generously dimensioned cosmetics department represents a special feature of this market. Shelves with matt white varnish finish are arranged on rustic timber flooring. Here, five round ceiling elements with integrated lighting span the department. In-store communication on the market walls rounds off the atmosphere as harmoniously as the cash desks in matching colours with their decorative wooden trimming.
